According to the stats on this page, this 1080p LCD has a resolution of 1366 x 768. Since, by definition, 1080p would require a vertical resolution of 1080 lines, this is obviously NOT a 1080p LCD.
Buyer Beware!

I purchased this item on February 8th and set-up shipment through Amazon for between 4-8 PM on February 15th. I wasted 4 hours of my life (4 to 8 PM) waiting for this TV. It never showed up. I called the shipper – CEVA [. . . ] and they even admitted to having my shipping info on file, but never delivering it. Absolutely NO attempt was made to contact me to let me know that they were not going to deliver my item. No phone number is listed on my tracking information so I had to look up CEVA and find their phone number on their website in order to contact them. They won’t admit to why they missed my appointment. What is the point of me setting up a delivery appointment if the shipper – CEVA is going to completely disregard it. Amazon needs to stop offering shipping appointments if they are not going to honor those appointments.

After purchasing this TV, I bought a Phillips upconverting DVD player. The DVD player worked fine with the composite connections, but would not work with HDMI (so no 1080p). As I’m new to HDMI connections, I spent (literally) months researching the problem, purchased 3 different HDMI cables, went on numerous online forums, paid some online service to address the problem (with no results), and still I could not get the HDMI connection to work (and I tried all 3 HDMI ports). I tried the DVD player on another TV; it worked perfectly as soon as I plugged it in. Then I tried another DVD player (a Sony) that worked on this other TV. I hooked up the HMDI connection to my Toshiba TV, and it would not work either. For both DVD players, I would get flashes of picture or some sound, but it would never work. I’ve since come to the conclusion that this TV does not want to work with HDMI devices. I have not tried a Toshiba DVD player with an HDMI connection, so that might work. But the level of frustration (even now, months later) causes me to discourage you from buying a Toshiba TV. But, other than this problem, I like the TV (hence the 2 stars).

The most brilliant, correct accurate TV ever. In 60 years of watching TV
nothing comes close to Toshiba Lcd. BUT, I’ve heard that led’s are the furure. As an 78 year old Scotch man I expect you will give us even better.
